The purpose of the conference was
to provide information security professionals and researchers
in South Africa with the opportunity to share their knowledge
and research results with their peers. For many delegates this
was also be an opportunity to “test the waters” regarding new
ideas and concepts before submitting them for international
scrutiny. The conference is also a great opportunity for junior
researchers and researchers who might be new to the Information
Security field, the opportunity to gain some valuable experience
in writing articles, developing presentations and presenting
their results.
People from industry were able to use this as an opportunity
to find out what the latest developments are and to network
with peers.
